Alliance Lanka is a local Non-Governmental non-profit organization established in Sri Lanka. The organization has been registered with the Registrar of Companies, Colombo in 1995.

It was also registered as a voluntary social services / non-governmental organization by the Ministry of Social Services in the year 2000.

In keeping with ongoing Government regulations, Alliance Lanka was re registered with the Registrar of Companies as a Guarantee limited company in 2008.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alliance Lanka's mission is to develop effective and sustainable approaches in the management of health, environment, gender and other development based initiatives through capacity building of local communities.

OUR PROGRAMMES

Alliance Lanka works with Line Ministries, semi government institutions, local government institutions, private sector, financial institutions and businesses in Sri Lanka to solve pressing challenges of Sri Lankan communities through capacity building of local Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).

The organization plans its programmes based on participatory community assessments with the involvement of its partner CSO network and related stakeholders. Alliance Lanka’s focus is on community well being with good health and healthy life styles; sustained family incomes through women and youth empowerment; food security for marginalized families; ensure rights of women, girls and children; and to protect environment to help Sri Lankan families to live with happiness, dignity, respect and responsibility.



OUR PROGRAMME STRATEGIES:

* Maintain a strong national partner CSO network
* Capacity building of CSO partners to respond to identified community needs
* Work in consultation with Government Ministries, local Government institutions, private sector and institutions that provide facilities and support for community level programmes.
* Use participatory planning and action oriented training techniques
* Establish time bound, attainable, practical work plans with monitoring strategies
* Counseling and consultancy for Entrepreneurship development and Small and Medium scale business (SME) development
* Ensure responsibility and accountability
